Hello everyone,

You may or may not have noticed that , I …umm, well I have missed a bit.

Well ..a lot actually . I just hit…a wall of sorts.  My desire to write and  my creativity just turned off and I couldn’t bring myself to sit at the computer and answer the questions or address the topics. I had low days and I couldn’t come out of them. It’s an aspect of my life that I wish didn’t exist. Relatively speaking , the days weren’t bad. I know there are people out there who have it a lot worse than I do. Depression can be a dangerous thing. It makes simple things like sitting at a computer and typing a paragraph or two about my favorite food or something , extremely tedious and difficult.

Doing the April 30 day challenge , really was a challenge to myself. A test. I kind of failed I suppose. However I try to take everything in stride and use it as a learning experience.

I will go back and finish the posts . I would rather finish super late , then quit and not finish at all. I am not a quitter.

Thank you , for sticking with me and reading. I am a bit of a mess I know, but this blog is for me to navigate my way through my mess …and document it lol.

Thank you so very much

Day 15 -Timeline of my Day

Day 15 of the 30 day challenge

Timeline of my day.

So at this point in my life, unfortunately, I don’t really have a routine to my week , so my days don’t always have a routine, however I will give you a close estimate to what a day can look like for me. Lets go with a Thursday , it’s a work day , and I usually get the most done .

9:00am -wake up *i do get to sleep in a bit….thankfully lol

9-10am – get ready for work * it really does take me an hour…usually cause i’m on my phone for the first 40 mins lol , don’t judge me…WE ALL DO IT

10:15am -the latest I can leave to make my bus in time..

10:55am-I board the second bus that will take me directly to work

11:27am- If the bus runs on schedule , I arrive at the bus stop located across the street of my work ,which gives me 3 mins to walk across the street and clock in for my 11:30am shift. I know what you’re thinking, “you don’t have to be in till 11:30? yes…its good and bad…good because it’s late morning..bad because my shift is only till 5 …so its a 5.5 hr shift. Not great. But I will take what I can get and I am very grateful for a job.

11:30am-5:00pm- On the clock and working.

5-5:30pm -waiting for the bus .

6:30pm-if all runs according to the schedule I will arrive at my “home” bus stop by this time..and head across the street to the gym where I typically spend an hour or so there, depending on how crowded it is and what machines are available.

8:00pm- After being at work and having a good workout and my walk home , I typically arrive home around 8pm.

After this point , it’s lounging around, catching up on youtube vlogs from my favorite Youtubers and eating dinner .

So that is a typical Thursday for me.

Thanks for reading

Stay Tuned for day 16

** NOTE : I am a bit behind , I know. Some things have come up and I have had to put the posts on hold , but I will spend the next couple of days getting caught up. Please be patient with me . THANK YOU

Day 14- What is in my Handbag

Day 14 of the 30 day challenge

What is in my handbag?

OK….here’s the thing , I don’t really have a handbag.

It depends on the circumstances. I usually only have a handbag/purse when I am going out. When I go to work or to the gym I have my backpack. I  am  HORRIBLE girl. Or I’m an awesome girl because I don’t fit the stereotype of girls and their purses. Lets go with that.

Heres a picture of my bag from the outside :IMG_2333Harmless enough. The front pocket is full of pens and gum lol. Didn’t take a picture out of embarrassment lol .

Here is a picture of the inside:

Some of the basics :

  • my wallet
  • a handpainted Captain America Sheild copybook
  • another smaller notebook
  • much smaller notebook from Cambio #builtbygirls
  • the yellow you see is the lanyard for my keys
  • the flowered item is my calender book
  • the green handle is my there from the weekend
  • a folder , currently empty.

A bit of a mess , I will admit . But it is my lifeline of sorts when I am out all day .

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for Day 15 ( had a busy weekend and fell behind…I will catch up I promise!)

Day 13 -Favorite Quote

Day 13 of the 30 day challenge

Favorite Quote

“Be not afraid of greatness, some are born great, some achieve great and some have greatness thrust upon them”

It’s from Twelfth Night , a play written by Shakespeare .

Though some of you younglings recall it from the movie “She’s the Man” starring Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum.Well the source material is the same you see. “She’s the Man” was based on Twelfth Night. So…there you go.

I won’t bore you with the details of where in the book it appears and the characters . I will however give you MY modern translation on it. I found great pleasure in this when I was in school. Reading Shakespeare and translating it into modern day english.

To me, this quote “Be not afraid of greatness, some are born great , some achieve great and some have greatness thrust upon them” , means to never feel threatened by a status or level of power. Do not ever feel like, because someone may have a title or a position of authority , that they are more of a person then you , or that you are not great or worthy. Someone of royalty is not more great then you. Someone who has an impressive position in the world is not more great then you. We all start out with the same level of greatness, but it is up to us to decide what we do with that greatness and how we use it in our lives.

Stay tuned for day 14

Day 12-If I Won the Lottery

Day 12 of the 30 day challenge

If I won the lottery

Welllll…(here comes the overthinking )

It depends on the winnings …

Firstly I will pay off my parents debt. First and foremost.

I don’t care if it takes all of the winnings, but I want my parents to be debt free. I want them to be able to travel . My dad would love nothing more then to travel the country in a winnebago , just him and my mom. My mom would love nothing more than to go to Italy. She HATES flying, but will fly to get to Italy. I want to be able to take care of my parents. Help them retire comfortably and just have fun. They deserve it for all the hard work they do.

If I have any winnings left over , I will pay off my debt.wonder-how-much-debt-a-college-puts-its-students-in-this-tool-makes-the-investigation-a-breeze_original

My debt is one of the reasons I had to leave college without completing my degree. I want to be debt free and be able to go back to school and finish the journey I started. Pay off my debt and go back and finish Penn State. I’m also to stubborn to go anywhere else to finish. It’s where I started my adult life pretty much and it’s the only college that I ever felt like was the right fit for me. It was and always will be my home and one day I will return there. Winning the lottery would help that happen a lot sooner though .

If I am fortunate enough to have anything left after all that, I would travel with my best friend , Damaris. My dream vacation is London. We would go to London for a week ,then travel around Europe. Ireland, Italy, Spain, France,Denmark. I want to visit them all. I’ve never been off the continent of North America before. The furthest I have gone is Montreal,Quebec . I’m not a huge fan of flying (like my mom) but I will suck it up to get to London lol .

I would love, again if I am fortunate enough to have anything left over, to move. Live somewhere like NYC or even London. Get a funky apartment or house for Damaris and I. Gotta have my bestie !  I am a city girl at heart and would love to move to a new city . Then one day…when I am older and have lived a little bit of a life, I would like to move somewhere like the English Countryside and live in a small cottage , a la Kate Winslet in “The Holiday” , with my husband (if i ever meet him, *wink* CHRIS EVANS *wink*) . holiday-movie-cottage

Thats about it. I don’t want a lot of “things” I suppose. I just want the financial freedom to do things. Though if I did go for material objects, I would love to build my dream kitchen in my dream home . lol. But thats not that important. I want to do things for the people in my life. Thats what matters to me.

Stay Tuned for Day 13

Not as behind…..I am catching up! *wink*

Day 11 – Most Proud Moment

Day 11 of the 30 day challenge

Most Proud Moment

I’m going to use a pass for this day.

I know it sounds odd, but I can’t think of one .

I’ve had moments worth being proud of , and this doesn’t diminish them in the slightest.

I’m just not at a place emotionally where I can tell you that a particular moment is my “Most Proud ” moment. Not yet at least…but when I do..when i’m in a better place, i’ll let you know

Day 9-Piercings or Tattoos

Day 9 of the 30 day challenge

Piercings or tattoos?

So this will be a short and sweet post.

The answer is-kinda

I have my ears pierced (YAWN ..i know but i’m too much of a wimp to pierce anything else so….back off! )

Tattoos? – not yet

I want this to be my first tattoo:

The Semi-colon . It’s a symbol of hope and has great meaning for people who suffer from Depression. When I have the  guts to get a tattoo, this will be my first one.

Like I said, short and sweet. Stay tuned for Day 10!

Day 8-Old Photo

Day 8 of the 30 day challenge

Post an old photo

TECHNICALLY , I’ve done it already ..a few days ago during this challenge.

But, i’ll spoil you with another one, not as old as the first one but still slightly old.

balloonroom10So you’re probably thinking, “what the hell? They must REALLY love balloons”

Well , thats partially true. This picture is from 2011. I was in my last semester at the Abington campus of Penn State University. I was, like a lot of people I knew, preparing for the move and transition to the Main campus of Penn State in State College, PA . I was part of an on campus group called LEAP , and we were responsible for events that took place on campus , primarily in the Lares building which for our small commuter campus was out dining hall/computer lab/lounge/offices/student services/student club office.

This was also ,I believe to be the happiest I had ever been. I didn’t know it at the time , and I also didn’t quite know that I was going to soon hit the lowest point I had ever hit less than a 7 months after this picture was taken. These are some of my friends. They meant a lot to me, and still do though now we don’t talk like we used to. I saw these guys every day. The room where this pic was taken is where I spent very early mornings. I was one of the first students on campus and I would go right up to the Balloon Room, and get started on the days prep for events we had that day. An hour or so later I would be joined by the 2 guys next to me and the gentleman in the front would come along and make us all laugh in the EARLY hours. (for privacy purposes I wont mention their names, though I am posting their pic so the privacy point may be moot).

So this is the old picture I decided to post. It was actually the first one that popped in my head when I read the topic for todays post. I just miss these guys a lot. They made me really happy and I love them a lot.

Stay Tuned for Day 9
